Bracing for the blizzard

1 Feb

Well the buzz around town is we might get snow. According to the BBC, Britain is about to experience a terrible Arctic storm. Already there are highways (aka motorways) closing down and the grocery stores are being raided for supplies. Most of the bad weather (if it really hits) will be northern England and Scotland. We might get a few snow flurries later this evening. I doubt will get any snow that sticks.

Nevertheless if we get snow on the ground, I’ll post some pictures. Otherwise, we might just have icy roads (which is more of a challenge and less beautiful :-). In the meantime, we’ll just hope for a bit of white.

UPDATE: No snow or wet ground this morning, just clear skies (unusual for England :-).  So, we’re off to enjoy the outdoors.  Have a nice weekend.
