Watching the big game!

24 Feb

From talking with friends here, it seems the biggest quandry is how to watch the big game. When I say the big game, I’m referring to the American college and professional finals (like the Super Bowl). In the past, we could find a pub which has Sky Sports and hope that Sky is broadcasting it. Not only is this a gamble, but not all pubs are open at 2 AM for kick-off.

So, the alternative is the Internet. Until recently, there was bootleg sites, but they were getting closed down regular. Not anymore, in conjunction with Sky, Setanta, and a couple of others, there’s a Web TV site for Sport Video Streaming under the dubious name of ‘Live Sports on TV‘.

I’ve yet to check out the service. But during the next big Longhorn, Celtics, or Red Sox games, I’ll check it out. In the meantime, if you’re planning on visiting, but don’t want to miss a big game, no need to worry anymore.
