So tonight I wrote a post that put me in Twitter Jail. My family has been without electricity since 2:00 AM Monday. We still don’t have power and the last two nights the temperature dropped to around 5 F. Over 40% of Austin residents are in a similar predicament. To say we are frustrated/ angry with our politicians and the energy sector is putting it lightly.
I found out today that the gas power generators shut off “thermal” capacity because they would have taken a loss generating power for the state. This situation was purely caused due to the ERCOT ISO operating environment. The fact that mayors and Governor Abbott did not resolve it with millions freezing is beyond inexcusable. So I tweeted they should all suffer consequences.
Clearly Twitter took my euphemism, drawn and quartered, as violating their rules. I knew their artificial intelligence rules was going to ding me. It’s too bad when figurative language is taken literally. Alas artificial intelligence is only as smart as its programmers/ trained datasets.
